When I began my online business I thought I'd never see the light of day again.  I was busy 12 hours a day and overwhelmed many days. 

I won't tell you that starting an online business isn't easy, because it is, what's hard is developing a good plan and creating a system that helps you get things done quickly.

I was on one of my favorite forums today and read a post made by a gentleman that asked:

"I just wanted to know if all these raurau about making a six figure income online ever works.  I don't want to throw my money and time on something that doesn't work."

Is this person skeptical?  I'd say so!  The number one killer of anyone hoping to succeed online.  First of all he's not believing it works, second of all he's not quite sure he wants to invest in a business and it almost sounds like the extra hard work isn't something he wants to chance.

Having a successful business either online can work.  There are people making six figures and more, but they didn't get there by putting up a quick and dirty website with a few links and then watched the money roll in. 

Contrary to popular belief, the internet is not as easy as people like to think.  It's not a place where you can find a miracle business that will help you replace your income simply by creating a website, putting up a few links then sitting back and watching the money roll in.

The internet is a business like any other.  If you've got a brick and mortar store in your neighborhood corner, you would have to open and tend the store every day, provide good customer service, promote business.  The internet is no different.  It may be cheaper to get started and you might not need employees to help you run it but it's still a business that requires time, resources and education.

SO many people get online thinking they'll find some 'canned' program they can get involved with and it will 'automatically' start bringing in thousands of dollars a day.  …ain't gonna happen.  And anyone that tries to offer you such a deal means you better run in the other direction.  Even bringing in a few hundred dollars a week requires all the same time, work, resources and dedication.

Anyone that can't apply that to their online business won't succeed or they won't succeed for long.

Welcome back.  Unfortunately I've been offline for a few days.  Hosting troubles!

Having host problems is NO FUN!  I've lost hard drives and had computer problems but hosting problems takes the cake.

It all started when I lost my blog, yep, this very blog lost, gone, zip.  In trying to figure out the problem my host would not respond to me.  I went several days without a response, not to mention my host doesn't have online chat a phone number … not good! 

I'll be posting my troubles in my blog later on.  In the meantime I'm scrounging for all my past posts that people have been asking me about.

Thank goodness for Static Blogging.  I gotta tell you, I'm so smart to have invested in that product.  Every time I build a new blog it has come in so handy with the excellent themes and easy to install plugins.  I'm still getting through the guide provided on creating my own header graphics,  since I'm not fond of paying someone to do my graphics for me I'm determined to do this myself
