I was on one of my favorite forums today and read a post made by a gentleman that asked:

"I just wanted to know if all these raurau about making a six figure income online ever works.  I don't want to throw my money and time on something that doesn't work."

Is this person skeptical?  I'd say so!  The number one killer of anyone hoping to succeed online.  First of all he's not believing it works, second of all he's not quite sure he wants to invest in a business and it almost sounds like the extra hard work isn't something he wants to chance.

Having a successful business online can work.  There are people making six figures and more, but they didn't get there by defeating themselves even before they got started with skepticism.  They got there by first believing in themselves then doing the necessary work to help get them there. 

Contrary to popular belief, the internet is not as easy as people like to think.  It does take a bit of planning and really thinking about what you want to offer to others.  It could be goods and services, talents, marketing value or whatever, but the key is getting a plan and making the plan work.

Don't be fooled by the hype that you can build something fast and easy, put it out there and it will make tons of money.  That's a sure way to not making six figures online.  Doing it fast, easy and free is a nice thought but the truth is any business takes interest, passion and dedication.  Doing something that's quick, easy and requires no work will leave you only disappointed.
