Find Your Target Market

September 4th, 2008 by Ms. Liz
Respond

Making sales from your website is a fine balance of promoting the right products, competitive pricing, optimal web site design, aggressive advertising and attracting the right online visitors.

While all of the above are equally important in achieving lots of sales, none of them will work at all if you don't target the people that are most likely to buy your products or services. These people are known as your target or niche market. Focusing on these potential buyers is what will allow you to find the people that are ready, willing and able to buy what you have to offer.

Your niche market provides you the competitive edge over larger corporations because larger companies tend to market to a much broader range of people.  Their promotions are more generalized and less focused.  They don't really bother much with the smaller niche markets.  This is where you come in. Wink  This now becomes your opportunity to capture those highly defined smaller markets that the big guys leave behind.        [Read more →]

Stomping the Search Engines 2

September 3rd, 2008 by Ms. Liz
Respond

In case you haven't heard 'Stomping the search engines 2' has just recently been released. There's been a lot of buzz around about it and it's gotten quite a bit of attention and it's brought to you by the Stompernet folks Brad Fallon and Andy Jenkins.

stomping the search engines 2

You might recall that Stompernet offered an e-biz training and coaching membership that charged $800/mo. of which I've been a JV partner for and I had no doubt in my mind that this was a service that offered extreme benefit to its members, after all if you know anything about Brad Fallon, he's extremely knowledgeable in Search engine optimization and he makes thousands a month from his sites, so suffice it to say he knows his stuff and his monthly service was, no doubt, full of powerful information.

But I had a problem with the $800/mo. price tag – who starting out online can really afford that? Frown  It just wasn't attainable for most online business owners.

Just recently, however, Stompernet hosted their live event 'Stompernet Live6' in Atlanta, I didn't attend but I did hear rumors that something big was about to happen.  I did however keep my fingers crossed that Andy and Brad would come to their senses and bring their pricing to a more realistic level or at least come out with something that would be affordable for everyone.    [Read more →]

Customer Service Internet Style – Tips for Improving Customer Care

September 3rd, 2008 by Ms. Liz
Respond

Quality customer service is the lifeblood of any business.  customer service

If you understand that it costs more to find a customer than it does to keep one then you will appreciate the importance of good, quality customer care.

Unfortunately, with the rapid rise of so many online businesses it has become apparent that the focus has turned to pleasing the search engines as opposed to pleasing the customer.  Consequently, good online customer service has dropped.

I'm not disregarding the importance of good search engine optimization but what good is high search engine ranking if you can't provide your customer with the service and support they need?  You may have found a visitor but did you gain a customer?

Your online business goals should be about offering quality information, speed, convenience and customer care. Lose any one of those elements and you will lose potential business. Your visitors want to find up-to-date information fast, they want to immediately understand what your site is offering them, they want fast solutions, easy navigation and they want good service. You must be able to respond quickly to questions, emails and put products in their hands fast.

Here are several customer service tips that will impress any customer and keep them coming back for more.   [Read more →]
